Acceptance
By accessing or using whatsmy.fyi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What this service does
whatsmy.fyi is a free, no-account network diagnostic tool. It displays your public IP address, approximate location, ISP, connection protocol, browser information, and other network metadata — all in real time, directly to you. No registration is required.
Short Link Sharing (opt-in storage)
This feature is entirely opt-in. Your data is never stored when you simply visit whatsmy.fyi. Storage only occurs when you explicitly click "Create short link."
If you choose to create a shareable short link, the following applies:
What is stored
- Your public IP address (IPv4 and/or IPv6)
- Approximate location (city, region, country)
- ISP name and autonomous system number (ASN)
- Browser name, version, and operating system
- WebRTC leak test result
Storage: Data is stored in Cloudflare KV (Key-Value) edge storage, distributed globally across Cloudflare's network.
Retention: Data is stored indefinitely — until you delete it using your delete token or by contacting us.
Delete token: When you create a short link, you receive a unique 24-character delete token. This token is the only programmatic way to delete your link. Keep it safe — we cannot recover it if lost.
How to delete: You can delete your link at any time by using the delete token provided, or by contacting us at info@whatsmy.fyi with your link ID.
Private Link (no storage)
The "private link" option encodes all data directly into the URL using base64 encoding. Nothing is sent to or stored on our servers. The link can only be decoded client-side by the recipient's browser.
Data accuracy
We display data provided by Cloudflare's edge network and your browser's APIs. We make no guarantee about the accuracy of geolocation, ISP identification, or other network data. This information should not be relied upon for legal, medical, or other high-stakes decisions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access, scrape, or abuse our APIs at scale
- Use the service to identify or track other individuals without their consent
- Interfere with or circumvent the service's technical protections
- Share links containing another person's data without their knowledge
Intellectual property
The whatsmy.fyi name, logo, design, and source code are proprietary. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, whatsmy.fyi and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
